Project-Based Learning Professional Development Reflections


On February 10th, we had Magnify Learning come to our school and lead a professional development seminar on Project-Based Learning essentials and tips. This is the reflection on that day of professional learning.

Wow! What a day of learning about Project Based Learning! Regardless of your level of experience with Project Based Learning, there was a fair amount of refresher and reminder, or a whole world of new possibilities.

It is my opinion that Project Based Learning is the way of the future. What students are asked to do prepare them for jobs in the new globally competitive, technology enhanced, critical thinking required, economy. PBL, when done correctly, will allow students to foster a deeper, more meaningful understanding of the content and prepare them to work in the new economy.
